Cartoonist RK Laxman passes away

His cartoons spoke on behalf of the ‘common man’ . No politician, no matter, how powerful he/she might have been was ever spared by the eminent cartoonist whose ‘common man’ character became the face of the ‘Aam Admi’ in India.

A fearless critic of politics and politicians in India, who drew his heart out with a neutral point of view. An inspiration, for all political cartoonists in the nation, RK Laxman will always stay around us through his awesome cartoons.

Cartoonist’s Confessions

Hei guys .. I feel, I should have informed prior to publishing the post . Last night I got emotional after gulping few pegs and the hangover continued till the afternoon. In between the keyboard of the machine kept making noise and ended up producing the things( i dont know what to name these lines) below which you may avoid reading , if you wish to …  🙂  . I cant remove it as its too late and I apologize sincerely for the terrible act of a drunk doodler , in advance  🙂

Go Ahead..All the Best…

Those who can write;give a sarcastic smile.
Surely not all but few with ego, fragile.
Embraced by many, rejected by few
a struggling doodler and a cartoonist,new.
Not old to the blogging world
where they play with words and rhymes.
Where they narrate an entire life,
in few words and few lines.
All I have is praise and praise
and only good words for them..
and appreciations for many who capture places
and click passing-by time, in frame.
Good words for some who talk politics,
evaluate governance and voting statistics.
Less are not, who know the net almost inside out.
Be it google or facebook, they answer each and every doubt.
Talents floating on the internet,
they all know their niche.
Standing amid these talented fellows
is a novice Cartoonist.
Limited vocabulary and limited knowledge
to talk about sky or cow,
to click the beauty of mother nature
or discuss technical know-how.
All I know is to draw few shapes..
resembling human,resembling grapes.
Shapes which speak for the mango people
about life and its narrow escapes.

I thank you all, who accepted me,
with full heart, half and no.

Now, to the few talented and intellectuals
for whom I am a singing crow,
I promise to win your hearts as-well,
give me a chance to grow!
For spreading humor and smiles
that’s what I learnt out of life
and that’s what I try to do..
promoting virus of humor and love.
For I know it spreads like flu.

With Love
