Monthly Drawings


This happened day before yesterday! I was cycling aside a Big Mall, nearby my house, when a Skoda Rapid bypassed me and after covering a distance of  about 100 metres , it stopped. And then a man in formals came out and turned back with his arms open and what I could understand he was continuously staring at me with a smiling face. And then .. Oh!! That was an ex-colleague in one of my previous offices.

It was great to see him and during the conversation he declared how he hopped jobs and how his life has changed for good. And it was my turn to give details of my financial state and overall success. While,even he was astonished to see me  looking like a sage with long hair and beard, riding a cycle and he knew I may have sad financial stories to narrate….Well..as I say anticipation is wrong .. most of the times .. here is what happened :

This happened way back in the early Decembers of 2005.Me and DJ were returning from Dhanbad,Bihar and the train was late and was re-scheduled to arrive at around 3:30 in the morning.We were on the platform waiting for the train and sitting a little aloof as many benches were used as bed by passengers.It was about 6-7 degrees and only a few  were seen awake. I was very tired and sleepy.Lot more than DJ was.

What happened has only one person to declare the authenticity and that is the narrator himself.Although he never fell sick as they say it happens when you see spirits. But yes he kept repeating this happened. Even till date he says so. There are two points which make me doubt him a bit- he is no saint and he can make up stories quite nicely 😀 secondly , we were under the influence of alcohol so who knows if he hallucinated !

Sufferings of a long-haired Indian male


I don’t know that well about the West but I’m sure men with long hair is not that big an issue.In India it indeed is(unless you are in a saintly  group enchanting God’s name and in a Saffron or White attire 😉 ). Its about to be 2 years since I had my last hair-cut done. Ok ! Chill!!  🙂

I know its not normal, at least , for an Indian male.In fact, who better than me would know that. Breaking the shackles of Indian society ain’t easy- a dialogue people may love from an Indian female.Right ?

And if you think Indian male can do whatever they like,you are absolutely wrong. With my hair growing below shoulders,I drive unwanted attention everywhere , no matter, I go anywhere or anyone invades my dwelling.

I would love to show what you go through when you break Indian social norms as a male and would love your feedback.

In my next post , I will surely give my reasons of growing long hair and keeping a trim beard  even at the cost of all the pain, I go through,everyday. 🙂

Call Center Interview -1

Hello all,

This strip is a part of TakeLite 😉 Series which I have started and as I mentioned before, characters and situations in this section are not at all fictitious and most of them include me as a silent spectator. Today, I proudly introduce ‘Spyke’ to you. He is a owner of a  Mid-Sized Call Center and a hardworking guy who handles all the crucial positions of his company,recruitment being one of them .

Hence the last round of interview is always taken  by him. I being a friend visit him many a times while he is taking these interviews and there have been situations innumerable where the interviewee has made us laugh like crazy. This is one of the interviews.I was a silent spectator.Once the interviewee left the cabin, we laughed like mad dogs 😀 😀 😀 .

 Dear readers,

 Take Lite is  a comic strip, I am starting, about day-to-day life of a character,lovingly named DJ. Mind it he is not an entirely fictitious character neither are those who you will see along with him in the strip. Inspired by real-life incidents which are bound to make you smile.
