Team India wins Champions Trophy
Due to rain , the final match between England and India in the Champions Trophy 2013 was minimized to 20 overs from 50.India batted first and scored 130 runs and while the English gave a last ball fight, could not make 130 runs and lost the match.

Chasing an achievable score of 251 made by Pakistan in the 2nd ODI at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens,Team India collapsed at 165 all out,allowing Pakistan a series win (Pakistan wins 2 out of 3 match series) and helping Pakistan retain the record of being unbeatable for India at Eden Gardens .
While,England’s tour to India and a massive Test Series victory over India raised questions on M.S.Dhoni’s ability to captain all three formats and critics claiming a new captain for Test Formats , the One Day Series loss at home by Pakistan may put Dhoni’s captaincy, in all formats, under clouds of strong criticisms!

M.S.Dhoni,the Team India captain, is of the idea that Gautam Gambhir is playing a self-centered game and has been bothered about his position in the Team and has not been playing keeping the interest of team in mind.Dhoni has lodged a complaint against Gautam Gambhir with the BCCI,regarding the same!
Well, is it just an excuse to divert criticisms against himself or a genuine feedback about Gambhir,only Dhoni knows but this clearly shows that the continued criticism of ‘Captain Cool’ and his captaincy has snatched away the peace of his mind and now he is in a defensive mood.Anyways,no one in Team India is Sachin Tendulkar that his position in Team India would be guaranteed for lifetime. 🙂

Mahela Jayawardena decided to step down as captain from T20 after Sri Lanka lost the final of T 20 World Cup against West Indies. Guess he should learn from Indian Cricketers and Indian Politicians ! 😉 Even India got knocked out even being one of the most well paid teams of the World Cricket,big deal ! Did Dhoni take the blame on himself or Team India ? 😉
