Congress BJP tweet fight

The Congress and the BJP has been trying to get political mileage and playing blame-games on the Uttarakhand flood tragedy. The fight has taken a bitter shape on the social media site twitter, where both the parties seem to be in a tweet war. NDTV’s article on these angry tweets compiled together shows how both the parties of the nation got involved in explanations and arguments on twitter.

Previously, Congress had taken a dig on Modi by calling him a Rambo when the news spread that Modi came and rescued 15000 people from his state who were stuck in the Uttarakhand flood. To this , the BJP had responded by saying –its better to be  a Rambo than  a Dumbo or a Scambo

Rahul Gandhi visits Uttarakhand

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi flew into Uttarakhand on Monday to survey the rescue and relief operations and spent the night at a base camp. While the BJP has been asking why was Rahul late in visiting the flood hit areas of Uttarakhand, the Congress Spokesperson Renuka Chowdhary said Rahul Gandhi is not a ‘Rambo’.He has gone to survey the flood-hit area as a common citizen. The Rambo word was used targeting Narendra Modi, who had entered the flood-hit area accompanied by bureaucrats  and evacuated 15000 people from his state in chartered helicopter and luxury buses.

Well, who would have hated such a real-life Rambo in  moments of crises ?

Politicizing Uttarakhand Tragedy

On my recent doodle on Uttarakhand Tragedy and its subsequent politicization, one of my regular visitor Vijay Ji (owner of  COMBOUPDATES blog ),made a comment which was so appropriate on the tragedy and the subsequent political developments due to that. I would like to highlight his comment here-“Mysay the vultures are always in hunt for the carcass.“, as his statement is the sole inspiration to this yet another toon on the continued tragedy of the stranded pilgrims are facing, after the floods.Water and Food is being sold to them for unbelievably high prices and sustenance till the rescue team reaches them is becoming difficult. Inhuman behavior from politicians was not a shocker but how about the locals ?

Politics over Uttarakhand Flood

In between the rescue operations , both Congress and BJP has chosen to politically utilize the situation while blaming each other of doing so. Uttarakhand has been hit by heavy flood due to torrential rains, resulting which, thousands of pilgrims and locals are left at the mercy of rescue team. The brutal flow of water has ransacked roads and houses and everything possible in its way.The Kedarnath Temple has been effected a lot.Above 100 are feared dead.Meanwhile,Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi visited the flood hit area on helicopter.Home Minister Union was quick enough to point out, only State CM should do aerial surveys while Congress’ Digvijaya Singh had already criticized Modi’s aerial survey. BJP on the other hand is giving Congress a hard time due to Rahul Gandhi’s absence in yet another crises.
